So if I write a poem with a curse word in it and turn it into the school I'll get expelled?

MR.Fish impacted my life greatly. He taught two of the classes of the 4 AP exams I passed. He teaches that censorship causes blindness. Are you really preparing the student for college by forcing a teacher to resign for such a petty reason? Better make sure they don't go to my college where teachers use explicits and graphic language in a daily lecture.

Mr. Fish taught me in 11th grade many years ago! He's a great teacher.

Mr.Fish is one of the only English teachers that ever actually prepared me for college, more so even than the AP English teacher I had in high school. I felt as though I actually had to try to pass his class which was more than I could say for any of the other classes I ever took at EHS. This was the awakening I needed to get ready for college courses. I feel as though this is the reason this is happening to him. Some student used to coasting by got a teacher that actually pushed them to be more than thy were, and they used a cuss word that they probably hear 10 times a day at the lunch table in a poem as an excuse to push back at him. I hate English, it's the reason I'm a math major. I honestly hated Mr.Fishes class because of this, but he pushed me to recognize that I wouldn't just coast through life like I had been. He pushed me to realize that a real education would take effort, push boundaries and take you out of your comfort zone.

I was born and raised in Greenville but had many friends that went to Easley High. This Petition seems very important to the Easley residents and I'd like to join them in asking that Mr. Fish be returned to his teaching position so he can continue to positively influence his students and and be a part of a faculty which really has the needs of the students at the forefront.

I never had Mr fish as a teacher but his presence and advice through association was greatly appreciated and had a wonderful positive influence in my decisions.

The reasoning behind letting Mr Fish not teach at Easley is ridiculous! The students love him. He is a wonderful mentor to our children! Give this man his job back and give our children the mentor they deserve to have!

Fish is one of the greatest teachers EHS has ever seen. He is one of two impactful teachers I ever had at Easley who taught me lessons that have stuck for life. He actually loves his job and impacts his students. Let him teach!
