To think such measures as making an online petition are even necessary for talking about the most influential teacher that ever worked at that school is utterly ridiculous. I think they should be ashamed of themselves.

Just goes to show how much schools actually care for their students and staff. I personally know many of the students mr. Tully taught and he touched EACH AND EVERY SINGLE ONE OF HIS STUDENTS LIVES. He was everything a teacher is supposed to be. Honor his memory, let the girl say her speech. The fact that this is even an issue disgusts me.

Freedom of speech is always going to be around, you never know what kind of impact a single word, sentence, or idea will have a someone. If you can't understand the impact of a loss of a truly loved one, the least you can do is let someone else try and explain the meaning of that to them. It is only right to let LUCIA SPEAK! <3

I love you Luce!! Stand up for what you believe in. We will all stand beside you. It is absolutely horrible that they would even consider not letting you speak about Mr. Tully. I know how much you loved him, and how great of a man he was. He deserves to be remembered. And I know that he would want YOU to be the one who honors him. you should let her give the speech. Mr. Tully was a wonderful person that has done so much for MBIT students. for MBIT to restrict a student from giving a speech in memorial of mr. Tully is extremely ungrateful, very disrespectful, and unappriceative of Mr. Tully and all he has done for this school.

He may have a had a rough past but, what ive heard he was a wonderful teacher so let her give the speech!!!

This is absolutely infuriating. Mr. Tully was loved by everyone who has passed through MBIT an many of the children there now and who have graduated would not have made the journey without him. Graduation is to be a reflection on your time there and to recognize your journey as well as thank those who helped you along the way. If Mr. Tully cannot be mentioned by his final class than those in charge at MBIT are spitting on his memory. As a graduate from MBIT I find this to be appalling behavior.
