Make LDS Leaders Mandatory Reporters

It should absolutely be mandatory

The church needs to face the music. They suck at protecting kids.

It’s crazy to me that this isn’t already policy- and that it would even be questioned whether or not they should or shouldn’t report it.

As a victim of assault and for all victims

I think this is a christ-like suggestion! LDS leaders should be more concerned with protecting children than saving face

I think every religious leader should be a mandatory reporter! Remove religious exceptions!

Enough is enough. We need to protect the vulnerable amongst us, not protect the predators.

This will save lives. Fix this oversight.

This is a no brainer.

This is something Christ.would do!

This is a no-brainer that will help protect our church community from abusive people that walk among us undetected. The safety of many children matters more than the repentance of one person (who will require many years of rehabilitation and actual legal accountability in order to repent).

Honestly it is unbelievable this is only happening now. I’ve heard too many stories of SA committed by lds leaders and have had NOTHING done about it. Very disappointed but happy something’s finally being done.
