Schools are supposed to support children's hopes and dreams. This high school has to make this happen!

This young lady has class and talent. She has worked with my daughter who is in the first grade and just starting out. It would be a shame for the director to miss out on what she can add to the program because he simply does not want see the asset she could be. She should have been allowed to twirl all along. It is a travesty that she could possibly miss out for her senior year.

Twirling was apart of band when I was there and it still is at most places. Be different and let her have her dream and let little girls or boys look up to her.

If there is an interest in twirling and they have had it previously, it should continue. Best wishes to her!

Twirlers do not detract from a band, they add to it. Please let her twirl.

My daughter is currently going through this same thing herself. It was kind of strange reading this, because it's almost like I was reading about her life's story. I hope they change their mind and let your daughter twirl. It's hard to see your child upset when they just want their dream to come true. Good Luck!

I would think the Director would be thrilled to have such talent to add to the program

LET THE GIRL FOLLOW HER DREAMS. I wouldn't be half the girl I am today in college if it weren't for high school marching band, ESPECIALLY senior year of it all. Good luck to this sweet girl.

Let her twirl!!!! Its not hurting anything nor is it costing anything. If he would rather cut twirling than allow her to twirl than i say its time for him to go....dont punish a young lady just because. You have issues...

Kristy deserves an apology from the East Hall Band Director & principal of this school. It is a shame that this band director has such little concern for the feelings of Kristy. Good Luck, Kristy!!!

I believe Kristy should be able to twirl. She has worked so hard and is one of the best!

High school is supposed to be a pleasant experience. Why would you deny a child a chance of exhibiting her talent over a technicality. Come on would it be so bad to make one girl happy!!!
