My daughter is buried that the cemetery and I wouldnt like to think I can't put things down that I wish on special occasions

its a discrase things should be allowed on graves and should be upto the bareveds family not parish council

My nana, grandad and uncle are buried here. We must allow this to happen

Just like everyone else i prefer to see graveyards full of memories and special items that people leave for their loved ones. Items on graves show that the person buried there is still loved even if theyre no longer with family and friends. Taking that right away from people is like telling them theyre not allowed to pay their respects.

Signed, absolutely discusted in the council for this!! We pay for a plot and we are not allowed to use it as we wish!!! Discusting

This is an absolutely disgusting thing to be doing...there are families out there that have only the cemetery to go to feel close to their loved ones and to c....show some god damn respect and leave their belongings where they are you should be ashamed of yourselves...there are children that lay resting and your taking the only comforting items away from the grieving families this should NOT of even been a discussion.

How do you explain to a child that they can’t take pretty things down to the special garden as they call it? Surely if it’s looked after - I don’t see the problem?

These are family memorials they should stay be allowed to put these on the graves. If it was a councillors family member then how would they feel it's pathetic.

They need to stop this ASAP, the people purchase there graves and it’s there property

I go and visit my grandparents graves regular and have moment with them surrounded by our memories and keepsakes. Makes it that bit easier to deal with them not being here! Taking these away will destroy our hearts, please don’t let this happen and ruin our time with our loved ones rest places!
