Keep Dawn Feeney as Student Government Advisor at Timber Creek

We, the undersigned, respectfully request that Dawn Feeney remain in her role as the Student Government advisor at Timber Creek High School.

Mrs. Feeney has been a dedicated and inspiring leader whose impact has extended far beyond the classroom. Under her guidance, the Student Government program has flourished—fostering leadership, inclusivity, and school spirit. Her commitment to student growth, creativity, and collaboration has empowered countless young leaders and made a lasting impression on the Timber Creek community.

Students, faculty, and staff recognize Mrs. Feeney not just as an advisor, but as a mentor and role model. She has organized successful school events, strengthened connections with other schools, and built a culture of student voice and pride.

Removing her from this role would be a disservice to the program and the students who have grown under her leadership. We urge the administration to reconsider this decision and allow Mrs. Feeney to continue making a positive impact in the role she has so passionately and effectively fulfilled.

Please sign this petition to support keeping Dawn Feeney as the Student Government advisor.

Dawn has been a mentor to us all and an exemplary representative for what Student Government can become! It would be wise to have a new Advisor shadow her for a year to learn how to run such an active program.

Mrs. Feeney’s reached is beyond her beloved Timber Creek. She is the MVP of our District 3 meetings. She represented TCHS, alongside ERHS in an epic state conference. She is a leader and a mentor within the SGA community and it would be tragic for her to be unable to finish her career where she is most needed. Dawn Feeney is loved and we stand united asking for her to remain where she is! #wintercreek

I’ve had the opportunity to meet some of her officers at SFLTC, and they speak very highly of her. She has taught them how to be great leaders. I couldn’t imagine how I’d feel if my SGA or Debate advisor were removed — they build bonds with students that are like those of a parent. I still keep in touch with my middle school SGA advisor to this day. She deserves to stay, especially with a program that she’s brought so much joy and happiness to. The fact that students are standing up and testifying on her behalf should speak volumes — she’s made a difference, and that alone is enough reason for her to remain.

Ms.Feeney has had a great impact on my student government career. She has showed me things about myself that no one else ever could before, I have spent time with her at state Conventions, leadership rallies and camps. It has also been made extremely clear that she motivates her students and has created a great community of leadership amongst TCHS. It would be extremely saddening to see her have to leave her SGA family to pursue a business course as she clearly makes timber creek shine bright like a diamond.

Not only has miss Feeney been my SGA advisor, but she has been one of my top teachers has she knows how to manage not only her time but her SGA life. She has taught me independence, discipline and a lot of things within SGA itself because she didn’t just care for what needed to be done. She made sure everything we did was to our best while also making it fun and enjoyable. she is deeply involved in SGA and it would be disappointing, and overall sad to see someone who holds SGA high and to the best it has been, go into something else. I just hope this petition has an effect and doesn’t fall into the wrong hands where SGA is no longer SGA.

Ms. Feeney is very helpful and she is the best at running SGA. Moving her would be awful because a new teacher would have to learn all that she knows, which took years. It makes no sense to move teachers around.

Ms. Feeney has been an asset to TC and to SGA. My daughter has learned so much from her and she is such a passionate teacher and mentor.
