Why destroy the guns. Allow partners to stay together. It makes for a safer world.

This is a no brainer! Let them buy the sidearms they used.

They should be allowed to keep their weapons because they put their lives in danger for their jobs and they deserve it

These are just private citizens like the rest of us. Why should someone in California who happened to work for the federal government have any more right to own a firearm than millions of other citizens. They aren't royalty. NO on this stupid petition until it applies to everyone. How about a petition that tax paying citizens get to own the same firearms as federal government employees? Sign me up for that one.

I think that LEO's should be to have the able the right to either buy or keep their service guns if they want them when they retire or leave the force in good standings. They may like these guns that they've been use while in service and might want to keep them. So I think that they should be able to do so if they want to do so.

Excellent idea! Let's enable our retired LEOs to protect themselves and the public, while preventing the senseless destruction of taxpayer-funded items.

When I retire I would love to be able to keep my service pistol. At the very least, I would like the option to purchase it. Plus, that would allow old firearms inventory to be used up so that new weapons could be purchased to keep the fleet up to date.

Since retired LEO's may carry their weapons, it makes sense to allow them to purchase the one they have carried while working.

I support this bill and so should everyone else. Law enforcement is an inherently dangerous job and more so now than ever due to the ease of information to both folks good and bad. The least we can do is support those who are willing to protect and serve our country here at home.

This should've been in place since LEOSA kicked-in. It's time to change this law.

Common sense and may actually make the government money instead of costing them money to get rid of them.

Let us federal LEO's maintain the possession of our duty weapon after retirement to continue using the years of experience and training.
