Guns are not scary. People can be scary. Guns are not dangerous in the hands of career law enforcement professionals. That trust, familiarity, capability, and a life of dedicated service to the public does not all of a sudden disappear on the day they retire.

It's the right thing to do! I wish I could have purchased the 9mm I carried my last tour in the Army before I died. I would have paid the cost for them to purchase a new weapon.

I would love to be able to purchase my duty weapon upon retirement.
