Long past due. My previous agency allowed retiring officers to purchase their weapon for $1. Bad guys don't recognize retirement as a reason not to target us. Might as well have a weapon with which you are totally familiar for the safety of the officer AND the public's safety.

We should continue to be entrusted with the public and govt's secutity and welfare even after spending z lifetimd serving...We should be given thde opportunity to continue to protect and serve

LEOs should be given the weapons they have carried when the weapons are changed and when the LEO retires.

There is no good reason that cops shouldn't be able to purchase/receive their duty firearm from their agency.

I will help every LEO that for so many years served oyr public, nation and government. Why destroy it when will be in good and trained hands.

There is a safety factor when one of us seizes someone else's claimed belongings (dope) and/or arrests that person.
