Before the pandemic i witnessed many inappropriate things while visiting my family member in a nursing home as i during hundreds of visits brought these to the correct people in the right positions every time i was told 1) were looking into it 2)we just had a meeting about that 3) we'll get back to you which didnt happen a year later i am still unable to visit my family member although we've both been vaccinated they ve lifted the mask requirement My family members condition has worsened and changed so much in the past year without any interaction with family and health issues I dont want to wait for access for an end of life visit with my family member i want to improve her life now Devastated in ny

Our loved ones are not prisoners!!! They need their family at this more then any other time!!! We are letting thousands of illegal immigrants cross our borders and enter our country and go where ever but we leave our lives locked up!!! This is so sickening! These nursing homes are taking advantage of this! They are not doing daily cares on their residents there is more neglect and abuse happening because family are not allowed in!!! This has to end!!! END THE CRUELTY!!!!

Is there anything I can do to help in my area... do a protest, organize something, anything. I would love to help. I work in nursing home/LTC facility and seeing residents not being able to love on their loved ones is so devastating.

Please help the elderly that are in Nursing Homes and Memory Care , Assisted living places see their family members don't keep them isolated from them.They need to see their family to keep their spirit up .

Would love to see my mom I didn't get to see her for her birthday you got to see her through the room window haven't got the hugger for 6 months it's about damn time they let us in there

At some point they must ease the restrictions. Our loved ones can't endure until there is a vaccine.

I have my husband who is in a nursing home. He is a quad who just had his larynx removed. He can't use his arms and hands. He is helpless. We should be able to see our love ones to make sure they are taken care of properly.

My 90 yo mother is in Emerald Care in Claremore and I haven’t been able to visit other than through the window or there than twice since March. She’s declining rapidly loosing weight and sleeping all the time. This is wrong and has to stop!!!

My 95 yr old mom lives in a LTC here in Shawnee, Okla. she moved in a year ago weighing 104 lbs. The pandemic has now affected her eating, her mental health resulting in more dementia as well as depression, resulting in a failure to thrive! There isn’t a day that goes by that either in our phone conversations or window visits that she doesn’t cry or tear up. She talks about dying and wishing God would take her home to be with my dad. She is so sad! She has become angry about little things, and is no longer talking about “ next time I see “ whoever, she says I won’t ever see them again!” I do not want her to die alone, and I don’t want her to continue to be kept locked in a 10x15 room. I DO NOT WANT HER TO SPEND HER LAST DAYS ALONE!
