Dear Wendi, I hope you don’t mind my addressing you on a first name basis but it seems disingenuous not acknowledging you by name. I feel compelled to reach out to you because we have experienced some similarities in life. Not long after my husband and I divorced, he passed away. Additionally we had 2 very small children and our heartbreak was devastating. In addition to our pain, I fought my ex-inlaws trying to preserve every memory. His favorite songs, important accomplishments and cherished memories he loved about the kids. I’m hoping my comments will soften your heart and fill your heart with gratitude that you have Dan’s family wanting to preserve Dan’s love for his boys. All my ex-inlaws cared about was emptying the house my ex moved into, taking all my children’s clothes, toys, gaming systems with games and accessories, etc. The only thing left in the kitchen cabinet was a jar of artichoke hearts. Working, and the grace of God provided whatever we needed to survive but the damage done losing the knowledge and value their father meant to so many in life has been devastating. I really hope you realize this someday. It would be the biggest. best gift you could ever give your sons. Thanks for listening.

Wendi - it is important for children to know they’d heritage, their bloodline and their lineage. Even you have admitted that Danny was a loving father. Please allow their fathers family unfettered visitation. Be the woman Dan fell in love with.
