Your inability to provide for your children’s natural need for healthy grandparents in their life is evidence of your lack of proper parenting behavior. It’s surprising that while you’ve been named a co-conspirator in their father’s murder you continue to lack the ability to follow common healthy parenting practices while the world watches. A tiger can’t change their stripes.

Dans parents ahould be allowed to see their grandchildren. Grandparent alienation is hurtful. We need to change the laws worldwide. Too many grandparents are alienated from their grandchildren because of divorce or in this case murder. We have rights to see our grandkids. Those kids have a family from his dad side as well. They have been proven to be the better grandparent in any event. Let the Markals have visitation rights. Stop grandparent alienation.

Mr and Ms Markel have been kept away from their grandchildren long enough while Wendi’s parents have unfettered access to them

My ex husband died, too. We had two children, too. Wendi A has shown zero concern for her children’s’ grief and loss. As the surviving parent, that is your primary concern.

This murder was horrific and the sons of Dan Markel will be able to search information on their own as they get older. The Markel family should have the right to be in their lives no matter which way the trial ends. It may not be clear right now, but these children will need their Father's family in their lives. Shame on you Wendi for not giving your children the love they so need after the loss of a loving Father.

Grandparent alienation is the highest form of elder abuse. This family lost their son and now their grandchildren. All these years later we now have another conviction of Danny’s murder and that’s by his ex- wife’s brother . Wendi lied over and over on the witness stand requests Danny’s parents having visitation with their grandsons anytime they’ve asked.

Let the grandparents see their grandkids. Your problem with Dan had and have nothing to do with the grandparents. It’s is the best interest of the children that they get to know and love both sets of grandparents.

Do the RIGHT thing. For goodness sake, put your kids needs before your own ego and your mothers unhealthy influence on your life. Look into narcissistic personality disorder and heal the generational wounds going on in your family. Your boys will grow up to KNOW you as the CAUSE of their trauma.

As a mother of 8 children, 5 of which were adopted, extended family is important. Even our children that we adopted remain in contact with their biological family as long as the family wants to be a part of their life and my kids aren’t in danger. I don’t think your boys were ever in danger. I honestly think if you are upset over an email Ruth sent about foster care then they should be able to see the boys if that is the only thing. That came from a place of live for your boys to ensure someone was in this town to keep them till they could get from Canada or even your family could get to them as you were well aware you were a suspect. She was not “putting your kids in foster care” as you say. She was ensuring that let possibilities of a place for them to be if they indeed arrested you and you were unable to care for them until someone could get to Tallahassee , which if your in jail would be the case. When you have adult issues they should not boil over to children. Sometimes you have to put your feelings aside to allow them to have a relationship with others and let them make their own decisions and choices without being tainted. Yes you can setup boundaries as a parent but those can look like if they have questions about the trail or the murder of their father direct them to talk to me etc.

Wendi, for your boys sake please do the right thing. If you can't face the parents of your ex-husband, let someone you trust facilitate your boys to have time and a meaningful relationship with their grandparents. Until you do so, you continue to drive a dagger deeper into their hearts. Whether or not you had anything to do with Danny's murder is irrelevant. Whether you like Danny's parents is irrelevant. This relationship is a responsibility of yours as a parent to facilitate.
