Let Dan Markel’s Parents See their Grandkids

It’s the right thing to do.

I hold multiple degrees in psychology and it is to the detriment of these children to be withheld from their paternal grandparents - the only link they have to their father. It is imperative to their well-being that they have an emotional support system and avenue to learn who their father really was - a respected attorney, professor and loving father - to counter the negativity they are likely hearing from the maternal side. On a side note: If their mother is withholding them from knowing a loving family, then she, herself, should lose custody for failing to act in the best interest of her children.

Please let them see their daddy's family they ate all they have left of their dad.

Denying your children exposure to their loving grandparents cannot possibly be in their best interests. I don't know you, but I knew Dan, and I knew how much he loved those boys. Please set aside your feelings about Dan and/or his parents, and let your boys have their own relationship with Dan's parents. The choice should be theirs.

Wendy you don't know me but from my life experience , your kids have lost so much, don't make your issues theirs. Let them flourish in the warmth and love of their extended family, Phil land Ruth. Be generous towards the growth and fullness of life for your kids. Don't let your anger be theirs, Allow them to have more love in their lives. Ruth and Dan are their grandparents and have so much love and caring to give them. They are their grandparents and you are being unfair to not allow them access

Ruth and Phil Markel deserve to see their grandchildren. Additionally, depriving the children of seeing their paternal grandchildren is an injustice to them and could cause problems for them later in life. If you truly love your children, let them see their grandparents. Maxine Sanders

Please don't deny these 2 boys the love and support of their paternal grandparents.

I’m a young grandmother and can wait out my son & daughter in law. These Grandparents can’t. Don’t regret something you can’t make up for later.

All children should be protected but it is also in their interest to know not only their parents but also their grandparents to continue the familial connection; and to allow the children to make up their minds as they grow older to make make whatever connections they want. In principle, not to allow the children access to parents and grandparents is a cruelty to the children; parents and grandparents...All this can be mitigated by a rational approach. SG F23viii19

Please, as someone who knows Phil and Ruthie, and knows how wonderful they are, do not deny them this privilege and do not deny your boys the opportunity to know their paternal grandparents. They have suffered enough already.

Wendi, Have a heart.!!! To deprive Ruth and Phil of communicating with their grandsons is SINFUL. .Changing their names is sinful as well and life will catch up with you for these horrible things . Make a change and allow the boys to know and communicate with their grandparents Ruth & Phil. They have much love to give and league young boys have lost so much losing their father that depriving them of their grandparents it is adding insult to injury.

Wendi, please, have a heart!! There has been a big enough loss for Ruth & Phil as well as their grandchildren to be cheated by not being allowed to communicate with them. Life has brought great agony to all of you and it creates more in the long run for the young boys. The grandchildren have lost enough by losing their dad.
