Let Dan Markel’s Parents See their Grandkids

Please let your children be a part of their grandparents life. I have fond memories of mine and the children deserve that also. Dan is no longer here so the vindictiveness needs to STOP!!

For Dan's family. It's been a long hard journey.

One of your son's middle names -- or what used to be, before it was changed -- is/was Amichai, meaning "my father lives." That this name was taken from one, their last name taken from both, and their connection to their father's family fully removed is akin to Dan being killed twice. Please allow his parents embrace their grandsons.

Wendi, Phil and Ruth are aching to see their grandchildren, the children of their beloved son, Dan. The children have the right to see and experience the love of their father's parents. Losing their son is an unimaginable heartache, losing the opportunity to see their grandchildren is unforgivable. Please do the right thing.

It is important for the boys to know their fraternal grandparents. No matter the circumstances they should not be denied that opportunity.

The most unselfish love is a mother's love. Your children should be able to see their grandparents. You didn't create them alone. Be a mensch and do the right thing.

This family has lost so much already! The grandparents deserve the right to see their grandchildren!

There is no logic to withholding your children from experience and benefiting from all sides of their family unless of course you have a good and valid reason from doing so. I as a lawyer like to look at all sides of an issue. Assuming arguendo that you have a valid reason for keeping you children away from the natural grandparents, the least you can do is communicate that reason to them. Your failure to do so would imply that no good reason exists. Please explain your reasoning. Thank you

Can’t think of a more loving grandparent than Phil could be. His companion, Maryellen is a loving soul. They would be such a positive influence in their grand kids lives. They only have the best intentions for these kids,

The children already lost a father. Why punish them further by depriving them of a loving relationship with their paternal grandparents, aunt and uncle, and cousins? Please be kind, do a mitzvah and act as any decent human being would. Not allowing access to one half of their heritage will only lead to more grief later on.
