I had the same problem back in 2009 at my high school graduation, so I understand how it feels when school admins don't understand the time and energy you put into FCCLA. Your leadership experience is just as impressive and valuable as your peers' involvement in the National Honor Society or sports championships.

Being a state officer takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and responsibility, she earned the right to wear the senior cords. FCCLA is a highly respected organization and deserves to be recognized on Chrystal's important day

You are allowed your own opinion. But from what everyone is saying that is against this they make it seem like I do not do anything. But I DO do a lot. More than what people think. I've planned tons of things. I planned the dances (formals) at our school. However, I was not able to be there to set up because I had prior State Officer Duties that were planned before the dances were scheduled. I have done more than enough for this club and it's disheartening that some people are against me wearing these cords at Graduation. It is all your opinion though. Before I was even a Member of FCCLA I had helped out numerous times and I was only in 4th grade. Please have your information right before you say I didn't put forth as much effort as I have.

I mean from what I've heard from people who are more involved in FCCLA, this girl didn't put forth as much effort as she's trying to make it seem, so no personally I DO NOT agree with letting her wear them.

FFA is not allowed to wear anything special. Neither is Student council, FCA, or any other clubs for that matter. We understand that you truly do want to show your love For FCCLA, but it is not allowed and no one has ever worn a FCCLA cord at graduation. With all the cords allowed what would be the point of deserving the cord? FCCLA is to help your community, your family, and others. It's not about what looks good on your college application or on your graduation gown.

South Newton lets people wear their FCCLA cords. I really don't see the big deals. You were involved in a club they should let you show it.

They didn't want to change it because of traditions.

Be proud of what you have done. Glad to see that someone is standing up to NNHS for what they believe in. And as for Chanel. There's plenty of things she's done to earn her spot even before you joined . I see that your only pointing out the things to make her look bad. That's not right. Be proud of what she has accomplished. What if you became state officer and couldn't wear your cords? You would fight to wear them. So I see no harm in her proudly wearing cords.
