I met with the head of the instrumental music department to review the current equipment inventory and weight restrictions. We are currently drafting a formal proposal to address the safety and logistical concerns raised by the administration.

The administration reached out this morning to discuss the technical requirements for marching a bass clarinet. I am currently drafting a formal proposal to address their safety concerns during field maneuvers.

lmao tazz is terrified of the bass clarinet agenda, let her march it already
Marching bass clarinet in a marching band is a serious aspect to take into consideration. I will always be the first to be an advocate in marching bassoon, oboe, recorder... whatever. However, I am sure that if we continue to grow as a band and as a family, marching bass clarinet will seem as if it's always been there. It is a legitimate argument and should not be ignored. Many bands that compete in BOA have bass clarinets. Though we have that DCI idea in our head-we are not a drum corps. We are a marching band. We have winds which include woodwinds. Let's become notorious for a growing interest in the arts. This will bring in more people and more money. More money means you can all take a break from fundraising for a bit. Please genuinely consider adding bass clarinets to the field :)
