As a parent of two alumni students, as well as volunteered for Chopticon activities for the 4 years they attended. I understand the prank was costly, but not allowing the child to walk across the stage is unreasonable. I do not know who the children are who did this prank, but their parents have been waiting for this event for many years - since birth. I believe a reasonable compromise would be to have the children involved be fiscally responsibility for their actions.
I ask you to reconsider your decision to not let the child walk across the stage for graduation.

Taking away something worth 4 years of hard work, over a mistake that took an hour? I understand there must be consequences, but this is excessive. Sending seniors straight out of high school with records? Taking away the Class Presidents speech? This isn't right.

This entire situation is appalling. I support these kids 100%. To deny them what they have earned over a silly prank is ridiculous. There has to be more important things that the school officials should be worrying about.

Cool prank!!! No they should have not broken into school to pull the stunt off but to double punish is wrong. Yes every action has an reaction but to be so harsh I don't agree with. Yes they should be punished but to carry a record plus not be able to walk is wrong. Me personally I the punishment foe all of it should be 1 year of janitor services at the high school so they can learn a lesson and still be able to have a life after high school . People get away for viscous crimes get off each and every day. Let them walk!!!!!!!!!!

Let the kids walk ... It's a harmless prank . All the teachers promote a senior prank since my class 06 if not before ... If anything have the kids clean up the bugs and release them . Don't tarnish their records when they are just starting out ! Be happy it was lady bugs vs guns !
