A foolish immigration decision which make New Zealand look ignorant and deprives us of an important voice on human rights and social issues in Afghanistan. Immigration Minister should overturn this decision

The system of restrictions on movement are completely removed from the reality of human networks and the connection of artists, representing the worst expression of humanity placing a cumbersome burden on the best expression of humanity - the sooner racist & mindless barriers on travel are eradicated, the sooner we will advance as a conscious species!

If she overstays, maybe just go to opening night of a new movie?

This is ridiculous. With so much to fight for in the world, we now have to petition for the obvious. Thanks, NZ.

Surely filmmakers should be allowed to promote their films on the world wide festival circuit. New Zealand should be so lucky for her to want to stay.

I had the pleasure of meeting Rokhsareh in Amsterdam many years ago. She's a wonderful filmmaker who has lots to offer the NZ audiences. Please reconsider your decision.

It would be of great benefit to the film community in NZ to have her teach here

This is very embarrassing to NZ. How can we refuse a visa for a genuine speaker to a well-established film festival?

Please revisit this decision, this is an internationally respected filmmaker who has been invited to this country as an honoured guest.

NZ Immigration this is disgusting and she should be allowed in our country as a guest speaker!

Come on New Zealand, don't be ridiculous! Have you watched her film 'Sonita'? Let her in and do docu masterclasses, your folks will only profit from it!
