myself and Samuel famakinwa were classmates at the prestigious NIJ in ogba, class of 1996. he also was my campaign manager when I ran for students union presidency. his death was a great loss to all of us and especially his family.

The influence of reactionary anti-immigration politics has made perfectly valid and justifiable requests for asylum like this one overly complicated and very divisive. The Home Office should be grant asylum to this family and not legitimize the hateful bile of UKIP and the far Right. It is a question of justice, rights and humanitarianism.
