The Home Office clearly have a policy of disbelief. This runs against our own tradition in Britain that someone is innocent until they are proven guilty. I really don't understand how Abiola's story cannot be accepted as true - not only do we have ample evidence of the actions of Boko Harim and others in Nigeria but the story of her husband's death and the family's subsequent history should be enough to convince anyone who takes the trouble to listen. I wish them all good luck for the new year and after!

This family have a significant contribution to make. They have been incredibly resilient in very challenging circumstances. Abiola has skills which could be well used in the UK. I would be very concerned for the family's survival should they be sent back and am concerned that they need our support here now.
