Palos does not make sense. It is not even close and why would it make sense to split up Lemont when it is cheaper to run sewer from Lemont.

I am writing today to ask that you not support the proposed annexation of Cook County forest preserve property to the Village of Palos Park.
This proposed annexation will open the door to additional annexation of unincorporated property, which may be slated for high density residential development by Palos Park. The resulting significant enrollment increases will negatively impact the financial resources of Lemont-Bromberek District 113A and Lemont High School District 210.
Massive residential developments that come without adequate revenue resources will pose tremendous challenges to our school districts, both of whom strive to maintain fiscally responsible budgets.
As someone who is invested in Lemont's public schools, I urge you to vote no on the proposed annexation of forest preserve property to the Village of Palos Park.

As elected officials, I beg you to support the people who this decision will affect the most - the people who work hard every day to provide their family with a safe, enriched life in a town that supports small town values. Support the families, like mine, who have been here for generations and helped build the town from the first digs into the limestone quarries. Please uphold your oath of office to do what is right and just.

Those properties have been in lemont forever. The town always has and will continue to consider this part of lemont. It will separate Lemont and the people living on the other side of town closer to palos. It is cheaper to run water from lemont then through a bunch of forest preserves
