The Cook County Forest Preserve District Property should not be incorporated into Palos Park. If that occurs, it opens the door for Palos Park to incorporate the private properties. Cook County Forest Preserve receives property tax monies from Lemont Citizens. Please honor our request to stay out of the fracas and NOT approve incorporation into Palos Park. This will have a negative impact on Lemont's infrastructure, but will be of financial benefit to Palos Park.
When this land is developed into commercial and high density residential, Lemont class sizes will increase, police, fire and roads will be impacted.
As a long time Lemonter and retired Lemont school teacher I'm saddened that it has come to this and shocked that these three longtime Lemont businesses owners would do this!

Palos cannot and will not support/service the citizens of this proposed annexation but rather will be stealing tax dollars. There is simply no other explanation for such satellite annexation. It is an inexcusable action and must not be allowed.
