I can't believe that this is even an option! To segregate one community like this from all. What are we back in the 60's when they were busing kids from communities that did not need to be moved and for what?! We need to make a stand and be heard so they know we will not stand for this!

I am a Legend Ranch parent. It is disheartening to me see the possibility that our children are going to have to drive or be bussed so far away. We were sold on approval of the new schools as a done deal. Legends Ranch would be going to Grand Oaks. Now it feels like a bait and switch. We are very disappointed with the school district for even considering this and putting the welfare of our children at risk trying to get through heavy traffic in Rayford or Robinson roads respectively.

*I AM A LEGENDS RANCH RESIDENT * I want my kid to go to GRAND Oaks High School. It is where all my kids friends will be going to. It is what I approved the Bond for. I do not want to risk driving on Rayford Road everyday during rush hour to go to a school several miles away when the one I approved a bond for is 2 miles from my community. I consider my child's welfare a top priority and will not compromise on his well-being. I WANT MY CHILD TO GO TO GRAND OAKS HIGH SCHOOL . PERIOD.

We pay CISD Property taxes and I expect CISD to treat the Legends Ranch community kids fairly!

I voted yes for this bond with the understanding that our neighborhood would be attending the new school. With all of the local growth in this area it only makes sense to build new schools to accommodate the growth HERE. It makes no sense what so ever to finally build the school just around the corner from the kids who should be attending it....only to ship these kids off to a much farther location in the opposite direction? Not to mention the daily safety issues with transporting all these kids on Rayford daily with all of the traffic issues and accidents that frequently occur. Please do something that makes sense! Legends Ranch children need to be zoned for Grand Oaks High School.

I think they need to take the distance to the schools more into consideration. Attending a closer school would eliminate a lot of transportation costs, and eliminate a lot of unneseccary traffic. I don't know why they don't choose a simple dividing line like Northridge Forest Crossing as opposed to chopping the zones all up. It keeps kids in school with other kids that live in their vicinity.

Please let our kids go to the HS that is so much closer to them (Grand Oaks).

I am a single Mom in The Meadows. My daughter doesn't need any more disruption. She needs the same friends and child care.

It is only fair and just to not split a campus to two different high schools when one is so much closer and was built thanks to the influx of our added taxes. That school became necessary because of ALL OF US in this area.

The idea of my daughters driving all the way over to OR when there is a high school literally down the street makes no sense. Drive time is decreased, if they go to Grand Oaks...safety is increased due to the short driving route. This means that my girls will have more time with their family and more time to study...more time to sleep since they won't have to wake up quite so early. NOTHING about the plan to zone our neighborhood to OR makes sense. Our kids should go to Grand Oaks!

We voted for the bond and are funding a new school that our kids potentially won't be able to attend...this is not right. We are 3 miles from the new school and you want to send us over 7 miles away to a different school? No way!!!!
