Legends Ranch kids should go to grand oaks as it is much closer! It would be a waste of resources, money, and time to bus these kids a lot further away.

It is absurd to have the children of Legends Ranch remain at Oak Ridge High school, which is double the distance from LR that the new high school will be. It is as if CISD is intentionally singling out Legends Ranch children to be cut away from their friends, the new school that their parents voted and are paying for. If Legends Ranch were further from the new school, it would be understandable for the LR kids to remain at OakRidge. However, CISD is proposing that children in other neighborhoods that are farther form the new school attend Grand Oaks and that is just plain wrong!

This sudden zoning to oak ridge is not advantageous to the kids. All kid will suffer mentally and pay allu as they have to depart from their friends.

I voted for the bond with the understanding that Legends Ranch kids would attend the new high school. Shorter commutes for our children are safer.

Common sense to put kids in the school in their zone. The whole reason we moved here. If not, we will move out and go live in what ever zone we need to be in. You don't want that. People moving out and turning this hood into a failing mess in the future.

I want my kids to go to the new high school because it is closer to home and it would make it a safer commute for them. I would also like for my kids to stay in school with classmates they meet. Not to split off to a different high school from our neighbors and causing them to make all new friends as freshmen in high school - high school is tough enough without having to make all new friends @ that age. I think it could've detrimental to their self esteem and hinder them from achieving the best education possible.

Do the right thing and zone our children to the school located closest to our homes and not clear across town!!

We have lived in Legends Ranch since 2008 and my son was the first Kindergaren class at Birnham Woods. We have stayed in this Neighnorhood with plans of a new high school all Along. He is supposed to be the first freshman class at the new high school. Please zone legends ranch for grand oaks high school

It is too much of a burden for us to have to commute to Oak Ridge when there is a high school much closer.

Keep our kids with their friends and in an environment they are familiar with. Grand Oaks is closer than Oak Ridge and it will help avoid and alleviate Rayford traffic.

Ridiculous that these kids would have to travel so far to ORH with this HS just a few miles away.

What is the purpose of having a new high school near the Legends area if we are unable to use it?

A shorter commute gives our students more time to study, safety on the roads, and inclusiveness with the friends they made thus far in school.

If the new school is closer to the neighborhood that's where they need to be! It doesn't make sense to have them go further from home to go to school!

Praying for folks that make decisions to make the choice that is honest. If we get rezoned to ORHS ... The liars will have hell to pay.

I voted yes for this bond with the understanding that our neighborhood would be attending the new school similar to Broadway, Cox and York. With all of the local growth in this area it only makes sense that these schools, including the GOHS, are built to accommodate the growth directly in this area. This is the equivalent of when our kids had to attend Houser before Birnham Woods was built. Or if they were zoned to attend Vogel instead of York. Building the new schools mentioned above solved those problems, yet now that a new high school is finally being built along the Rayford / 99 interchange, we're not going to follow that strategy? It makes no sense what so ever to finally build the high school around the corner from the kids who should be attending it....only to ship these kids off to a much farther location in the opposite direction! Not to mention the daily safety, transportation expense, and time management issues with transporting all these kids down Rayford with all of the traffic issues and accidents that frequently occur along that corridor. Similarly, less time commuting back and forth to school is more time for homework, sports, and extracurricular activities for these kids. Please do the thing that obviously makes the most sense for these families and kids! Legends Ranch children need to be zoned for Grand Oaks High School.
