As someone who lives in neighboring Fairfax County and who has been involved with TNR efforts, it would be great to see Prince William County adopt TNR. This greatly improves the quality of life of community cats in Northern VA as they are able to stay where they are happy, without worrying about them reproducing. Community cats are also great at reducing the rodent population. I fully support this effort.

It works!!I helped TNR in my apartment complex and within short months, all outside cats altered in my area.

Help the cats in any and all ways possible. I feed and care for the feral cats in our community, 11+ years and they have been TNR'd

I have fed several cats from our TNR colony. With the TNR program they are all healthy.

There are some feral cats living in the sewers in our neighborhood, nicknamed "sewer cats". Some are probably pets that are indoor/outdoor (our neighbor's cat), but others are strays. Last year, one of the kittens was hit and killed by a car near one of the sewer drains. A kind neighbor gave this poor baby a proper burial, but this doesn't need to happen. People don't seem to complain about them and I only know of them if a neighbor reports their cat missing on social media where others will mention the missing cat is probably hanging out with the "sewer cats". TNR would help keep the numbers in check before they become nuisance where animal control is called and the cats are euthanized.
