Legalize rifle suppressors in Canada

About time we start petitioning the government to overturn this part of the Firearms Act

Mufflers on cars a mandatory, but they didn't turn everybody into a vehicle wielding assassin

suppressors mean less annoyance to neighbors, less hearing loss to our population, less health care costs. It does not mean more crime, more death. use your brain on this issue, not what the media tells you.

I would just like to reduce the sound for the sake of my poor ears. Never understood why making a firearm quieter is illegal. .22lr barely makes a sound.

Suppressors being illegal is ridiculous... Like most all firearms related law in Canada.

I would love to be able to do target practice at my cottage and not disturb my neighbors

They are needed, will save alot of hearing loss, but they don't make it whisper quiet like the movies

This is a health and safety issue. There is no cure for deafness caused by loud noises. Ear defenders are not enough. Mufflers on motorcycles and large equipment, then why not on sporting firearms?

Suppressors are the only safety device that is illegal! It would be like driving a car without a muffler. It doesn't make it silent it just reducing the amplitude of the noise.
