The legalization of marijuana is important to both recreational and medicinal users. Just as alcohol prohibition did in the 1920s, Marijuana prohibition is creating more users therefore creating more problems. We all have heard of the medical benefits of using marijuana, but people that use it for recreational purposes just like that way it makes them feel. Contrary to popular belief marijuana is not a gateway drug but a terminus drug. This means that people that use marijuana usually stick to it and do not venture out to explore other drug forms. If marijuana was legal the taxing and regulation would produce about $8.7 billion a year, also decriminalizing marijuana would approximately reduce prison population by 20%.

I was just looking at the count and saw we are creeping up toward those 250 signatures which is wild because I honestly did not expect this much movement so fast. If you could just ping a few friends right now it would totally help us get that extra momentum to push through this current stretch and keep the energy high because honestly I am just typing this while drinking coffee and feeling like we might actually have a shot at changing things.

I would benefit greatly if it was legalized. I endure the pain I have daily because I don`t like pain pills. They are bad for your stomach, liver, and kidneys. And I don`t like feeling like I am in a fog all day. Marijuana would be much better.

Manic depression is genetic in my family. My mother died of the age 40 due to server manic depression. My mother was prescribed medical marijuana and it was the only drug she took that helped her function each day. Please make this plant legal so we are able to help people who really need it.

Legalizing would provide an economic boost to local communities and state tax revenue would increase. All while decreasing prescription drug abuse for a drug that is relatively harmless compared to prescription drugs, alcohol and tobacco.

I want it to be legalize, to help not just me but people who are have probation and probation fees that are ridiculous for a gram of weed and it hurts us from getting jobs because of a misdemeanor on our records.
