I believe it should be legal to practice the sport of slacklining as it’s harmless to the environment when done correctly.

A properly rigged slackline is safe and not harmful. Here's a compilation of a ton of slacklining information and I urge you to check it out for your legalization effort: http://steezelining.com/?p=254. Slacklining basics, history, associations and articles related to safety and effects on trees. Good luck and slack on. -Ty

Slacklining is NOT a crime and does NOT hurt the trees!! its a great way for these kids to stay active and to stay out of trouble. As a professional slackliner myself I can say how much slacklining has helped my life and how much it can and will help this community.

Slacklining is not a crime. It is a fun and healthy outdoor activity that can help people get outdoors while promoting well-being. It is thought by some that slacklining causes harm to trees. This is only the case when there is repeated strain over many occasions to the same spot on a tree. With tree protection, there is no harm to the trees. Slackliners understand the importance of preserving the outer bark of a tree so that the tree's cambium (circulatory system) is protected. Thank you for understanding and promoting the fun and healthy activity of slacklining.

Yes!!!!!! No reason why we shouldnt, they say that there is an ordinance that won't allow them to tie anything to the tree but that should be changed!!

I cannot see any reason that slack lining should be outlawed. If there were any regulations, I could see regulations for the adequate protection for the tree (wrapping with towel or some other medium to protect the bark) and maximum height of the line for safety.
