Slacklineing is a sport for all ages. Its a great way to gets kids and adults outside, a great way to spend the day with friends and family. It is safe for both slackliners and the environment when used properly. Tree protection is a must as every slackliner knows. Slackers will often be barefoot so you'll most likely notice that they are the ones cleaning and picking up trash and glass at the park making it neat and safe for everyone in the park.

It would seem that the parks could work in collaboration with the slacklining community to revise the rules and regulations, such that these rules/regs would provide protection for the environment, within the park system, and at the same time, provide benefit to the slacklining community, by allowing slacklining in the park systems. Both parties would benefit.

There's no reason slacklines shouldnt be allowed provided that sufficient trees or other means are used to support it.

I have been a slack-Liner for years and never once have I ever seen a damaged tree due to a slackline.

Allow slacklines in the parks - it's a healthy sport and harmless to the environment. I strongly urge Parks & Rec Dept to work with the slackliners and to allow it in the parks.
