Co-Owner of the Big Cheeze here. We're just trying to sling cheeze. Laws protecting the publics health and safety should be governments main concern when writing new laws. Not protecting businesses from one another. No matter how the law makers try to rationalize the rules in the new ordinance, I feel it is important for the public to understand that there are powerful individuals influencing this new ordinance. From what i've experienced personally running the Big Cheeze and dealing with all of the complaints throughout the years is that there are a couple business owners that have made the large majority (possibly all) of the complaints. The majority of the new ordinance isn't written with the publics concern in mind but rather the issues that those personal business owners have with how food trucks operate down town right now. It is important for the community as a whole to express their support for a vibrant and free food truck environment downtown because as NEW food truck owners in a NEW industry, we are fighting a nearly impossible battle. The only way we can have our opinions reflected in the lawmaking is if we get the support from the public. They might as well call us the Gladiator Industry. "Win the crowd, win your freedom"... I know i speak for all of the mobile food vendors in town when i say, thank you for all of your support. It means the world to us!

I like the food trucks, Its a fast easy meal so you can go site seeing while you eat or sit in the shade and watch all the people go by.

The people who run these food trucks are just as passionate about their creations as any other restaurant. They deserve to make a living too.
