How Is it that Children Legally in USA are Often Forced to Leave & Denied Opportunities?

There should be protection for children brought here by their parents. Some children are here from a very young age and by the time they reach 21 have spent more time here than their native country.

The law must be changed for legal children with their parents

This affects my grandson and it is heartbreaking

Being legal is actually more costly, time-consuming and burdensome than just walking across a border. There needs to be a path for long term visa holders and dependants to actually become part of their host nation.

Why the discrimination for legal immigrants ?

it is a travesty that when a child turns 21, they are forced to leave the US. Often they have cometed their education here and are sadly parted from their families. In most cases their parents have invested heavily in the country and then have to make the decision to either give up their business, home and ties to the U.S. or face separation from their child/ children. It will make people think twice about investing in the U.S if changes are not made.

This is for my best friend, her son is 12 and they have lived in the US for 2 years.
