WHS has been around for decades and is known throughout the state as WHS. Why change it? Not only does this seem ludicrous, the cost of changing the name will be astronomical! All letterheads, ALL paperwork, all athletic uniforms, bags, etc.., even the football field will have to be re-done. I didn't realize that Jasper schools were swimming in so much money! Maybe they should use all of that money to improve the education of their students anywhere and everywhere they can instead of wasting it on something so ridiculous, unnecessary, and unwanted.

Please don't change the name of my Alma mater. It's very sad and upsetting that my children will not be Walker Vikings!! :(
