I don't know this family however, I do strongly agree that the dog should stay with the owner. It's not fair to the dog or the family to take him away. If he has not hurt anybody in all the years she's had him, then I see no reason for the dog to be taken away. Best of luck!

This needs to stop. It's not the breed that is dangerous, but how they are trained. Don't remove dogs from loving homes that have never harmed anyone.

Its never the breed that is dangerous. It is the owner. If the owner chooses to raise any dog to be vicious, they will be vicious. If an owner chooses to raise any dog to be gentle, they will be gentle. Simple. As. That. #pitbullsforever #keeptashahome

How can they rip a family member away from a home that they have been with for over a decade (not that the time makes any difference, a family member is a family member). It is NOT the breed but the owner that mistreats them which makes any animal viscous. I loved the town I grew up in but this is absurd and making me feel very different knowing the heartlessness. I hope this dog stays with her rightful owners!

Leave the breed alone. People need to worry about better things. I've been around dogs all my life and I mean lot's and lots of dogs. I've never seen an aggressive pitbull ever! I've also raised Chihuahua pups. The ones that bite children and adults alike... But nobody has a problem with them.. The little teeth mean business tho and I've seen lot's of blood andscratches from them, but I still love them and would not consider them a threat either! I say lets ban mosquitoes! spend our time and money on somethin worth while eh...

Ive been a vet tech for over 10yrs. I can personally say that I've seen many more crusty and agressive small dogs like poodle or bichon and let's not mention German shepherd and huskys. Pit bulls if raised by the proper person is a sweet,gentle and very nurturing breed! I don't know who makes these stupid bans but I feel that the votes should be done by veterinarians and animal behaviourist and not just these random ppl in power that have no formal education on the topic!!! Stop attacking and do some research. Leave this poor breed alone!!!

It is no particular breed that is bad it is the few people who get dogs and don't know how to raise and train them the type and breed of dog doesn't matter.
