Swans Pool, the canal and local area has been enjoyed by generations 0f families and thier children, just as important to the area as West Park and South Park to others for their recreation, it can be nothing less than a disgrace that this land is even considered for building.

This land has so many protective designations and yet it is still a strategic site. If Kings wish it to be developed sensitively a developer will struggle to build the 250 houses planned.

Considering the amount of brownfiled sites and unused industrial wasteland in Macclesfield it seems unessecary and counter to creating a Town for living in to develop greenfield areas. Rather ensure access to these are maintained and focus the developers on converting the many brownfield sites into exciting living space

There are plenty of other eyesore areas around the town that should surely be better potential development areas than this. The whole stretch along the canal will be ruined - there are already very few accessible green areas for families that are walking distance from the town centre.

Why build on something as beautiful as this area of land. Surely there are sites which need improving by development i.e. R.H. Stevens site on Gunco Lane, side of canal on Buxton Road, these are an eyesore and need improving. The land in question does not need improving it is perfect as it is.
