This statue represents my ancestor who fought for the Confederacy to defend his home and is buried in Bell County. An attack on this statue is an attack on me and discrimination against myself and all descendants of Confederate veterans. Those who have been duped by the media into being outraged about something they never cared about are the bigots dividing the community and the county must not give in to them.
