Do not eliminate, decimate or otherwsie marginalize this very succesful program. You should provide it a separate school as is your responsibility to serve the community.

My son and daughter both had great experiences in the MAP program. We were so happy to have a choice of program at a public school. It would be a step backward to discontinue this program.

My son Zachary Nardone was a student in the multi-age program at Manor School for 4 years. He absolutely loved it. He is currently in his second year as a bio-chem major at UCSB. He received a rigorous and enriched education foundation in Map, and has built lifelong friendships. In my humble opinion it would be an act of utter ignorance to get rid of a program that has delivered that kind of stunning success.

As an educator, parent, and Fairfax resident and taxpayer, I believe it is imperative that the RVSD support and Foster the Multi-Age Program at Manor School. This program has been extremely successful and provides a pedgogically important alternative to the excellent traditional program. I urge the Fairfax Town Council (my town council), the Ross Valley School Board, and the Superintendant of the Ross Valley School District to do the right thing - the responsible thing as public servants responsible to the constituency that elected and pays them - and support the continued success and health of the Ross Valley School District's Multi-Age Program.

Thank you for providing this petition in support of choice. I have not been active in this debate - my bad. However. i am compelled to act and have a voice in ths - I am truly appalled and disappointed with rvsd leadership. Marin county claims itself to be a bastion of progressive attitudes. Not all children learn the same way, this is well documented by education experts throughout the US. MAP is simply an alternative educational model, one that has shown success for those children who learn more effectively through its methods. There is no right or wrong way, having options and choices is what makes the United States a model democracy. RVSD leadership - you are effectively taking away choice from tax paying citizens.. in my opinion, this is wrong and you are doing rvsd children a great disservice. Shame on you.

I support this petition to request the RVSD to rent Saint Rita's facility if it should become available in order to provide a solution to the overcrowding in schools and an opportunity to allow all families wishing to have their children in the MAP program to be enrolled.

I feel for the families at St. Rita's and hope they're interested in sending their kids to public schools in the district. Let's support this petition which urges the Ross Valley School Board to set up two public schools in Fairfax which will help resolve a lot of problems with overcrowding schools in the district. I surely don't want an expensive private school for families traveling all the way from Tiborun and Sausalito in Fairfax. That's a recipe for driving up house prices and the low income families out of our community. Let's keep St. Rita's available for kids living in Fairfax and San Anselmo.

This is an amazing idea and opportunity supported by every family I've talked with. I'd be shocked if red tape were to get in the way of effective government here in Fairfax. Our elected officials have been very good about keeping politics out of sound decision making, and instead working for the betterment of the community. I hope our government representatives understand this.
