St. Rita's closing creates an incredible opportunity for Ross Valley Public Schools to implement the original recommendation of the District Facilites Task Force of 2009 which recommend 5 smaller elementary schools for Ross Valley.

I find out if my daughter has made it into MAP in the next couple of days. At Rita's campus would likely allow us to choose with fewer uncertainties.

My child is 2 years old, and we need affordable education for him when he is ready in the next few years in order to stay in Fairfax. Thank You.

Although I am saddened to see a local institution like St Rita's close; I feel this is good option. I write letters to White Hill and Brookside each year for my tenants. They have worry if they will be excluded due to local population. Although choice is important; I think space to learn and grow might be more important to a large number of local students. Over the years I have had my children at 4 local elementary schools (1 private & 1 public) 3 middle schools (2 private & 1 public) and 2 local high schools (2 private & 2 public). Each child belongs somewhere special for that single child. Expansion of the public schools will allow more programs to be offered that can best accomodate those needs. Schooling in your neighborhood creates support groups and friendships that can last a life time. Schooling local with all walks of life builds understanding and a stronger community.
