My mother served 21 years with my father USMC two tour’s in Vietnam also being stationed in Camp Lejeune back in the 50s and the 60s with the water being contaminated. And the government saying that it was not contaminated water. As of today my father has been gone for 33 years and my mother last year due to the issues.

My dissertation (USD, 2006) was entitled "The Reluctant Sorority: Stories of American Wives of Prisoners of War and Missing in Action, 1965-1973/Lessons in Exercising Leadership in the Absence of Power." In 2006 I presented a copy to the Coronado Library. It was 8 years of research that became on of life's great experiences to tell this remarkable story. If all goes well, it will soon be a class at NAU.

These women are incredible. Their strength and persistence during this time and beyond is a master class in advocacy. Happy to support in any way I can.

These women went above and beyond to not only help their husbands, but their country. This should not even be a question.

I am a Navy Seabee Veteran, NMCB-10 EOH3 I have known Kalee since she was a baby and have known her mother Shelle almost as long. Kalee comes from a very Patriotic family that dates back to the Union Army of the War Betw the States. Kaylee will be a great addition to this Organization.

The League of Wives deserves a permanent memorial for their efforts as patriots, military spouses and engaged citizens. As a Navy wife, I appreciate their model of activism, and have deep respect for the change they made in the world.
