This petition is so the students of Lindero Canyon middle school can be allowed to use phones during lunchtime. As of November 9th, 2015, no cell phones or headphones are to be allowed to be used from 8:30 A.M. To the end of the school day unless directed by a teacher. Students should be allowed to use phones or other devices during lunchtime as a stress reliever or to have fun with friends. If you are a student at the school and are willing to support the cause please sign the petition with your student email.

I think this is a stupid rule. We only use our phones for fun at lunch. If someone takes videos of someone, then just take their phones away instead of taking the whole privelege away for everyone. Also, it's only lunch time. It's not like we need to learn anything at lunch, so what's the point of not letting us have our phones? I really hate this rule.
I agree, this phone policy is probably the dumbest rule so far. The biggest reason our freedom is being taken away? People taking pictures of people without their permission in the locker room. Why not just ban phones in the locker room? Also the yearbook is always taking photos of people in all kinds of places, is this really fair?

The phone policy is taking away students freedom and phones are not a distraction and if they were then why could we use our computers and ipads at lunch.
