Vintage lighter collecting is a hobby enjoyed by many people around the world. They can be made completely safe by removing fuel flint. Please take them off the dangerous goods list.

These regulations are ridiculous and need to be changed. The royal mail have also "destroyed" brand new sealed lighters as well.

The Royal Mail are a law unto themselves. I have lighters disappear or go to Ireland before eventually being shipped to me.

I collect vintage Dunhill lighters-I will now have to fly to London from Scotland with my lighters in my bag-(allowed by airlines) because I can't post them!-Ridiculous!-and considering some of my lighters are made of silver and gold does the Royal Mail really think they camn just destroy a few thousand quids worth of vintage products willy nilly?
