I have several vintage lighters to get rid off. Do I just throw them into landfill?

if a lighter has no fuel and has been vented and no flint in it i can't see any reason why you can't send it

I believe as long as the vintage lighters have no fluid they should be safe to post. Kind Regards Vickie

Hoping this Petition wakes the Royal Mail up. They’ve been destroying millions of £ $ € ¥ in Zippos, Duponts etc.

No danger if empty with no flint. Not long ago you could smoke and buy lighters on a plane that were working! this rule is quite ridiculous. This rule is absolutely ridicu

I buy and sell zippos from all over the world but I hate the ‘gamble’ feel to it, I only send completely unused zippos that have never seen fuel.

A lighter stripped of its flint and internal cotton wool and thoroughly cleaned is as safe as sending anything through the Post. It is basically a piece of scrap metal

I just found out that RM has disposed 2 vintage S.T. Dupont lighters. These where send to the US. No return possible, also not possible to pick them up at the central mail centre.

Surely a new lighter is tested before being sold. So it is no different to a second hand lighter which has no gas in it?
