I don't understand why there has not been another English school built in the area. It was overpopulated since it opened.

Hopefully some logic will prevail as what is being proposed is totally unacceptable. Busing students from Area 57 +18 kms twice a day x 5 days per week x 10 months is in itself totally cost prohibitive - not even considering the environmental footprint this would cause. There must be a closer English language school?

People who vote for the Quebec Liberal Party, (which they have for years) have left them being able to be there in government collecting their tax payer salaries , doing NOTHING for English people, For more than 20 yrs of the last 40 years the Liberal Party in Quebec, has tried to be politically correct, and have successfully, eroded away more and more people, as they moved down the 401. The Quebec Liberal Party while in power did nothing to correct the injustices caused by the P-Quist gov't language laws. The Education department frankly does not care if the English sector is abolished.... if more people moved down the 401, the better as far as they are concerned. Less trouble for them, less work, less expenses. All of these politicians, have nodded their "ayes" to these conditions now for ages.... and people still have not woken up. Time for a new breed of politicians.....people who can "think outside the box"....people who understand that preserving one set of rights does not trample others rights.... Perhaps it is time to lobby the Federal Liberal gov't... or have Julius Grey, fight for our rights again.... either way, this action may be too late....

Coming from a kid who took a bus ride an hour a day each way because they moved our high school off the French high school. This is crazy.

We had our house built in VSLL over 10 years ago knowing that PETES elementary school was nearby (1.7km), and we would send our child there like many other families in this area. Today our son is in grade 4, has 2 years left, loves the school and has many friends there, and next year will have to change school for the last 2 elementary school years. New school, new friends, 20km away, different schedule, 30min bus drive back and forth... This change will greatly affects all the kids and parents, unnecessary anxiety and stress, different schedule. I'm sure a different solution can be found alltogether with the students best interests at heart.

I think the rezoning isn't logically at all when kids will be losing all there friends forced to be on a school bus longer and less time spent at home
Leaving home earlier and arriving home later how will they enjoy family time while still needing to do homework
Please rethink your dicision on the rezoning
Thank you

I am not a resident of area 57 but I live much further (Les Coteaux). I do not understand how my children could be zoned for schools in St.Lazarre when they could go to the school in Vaudreuil which would be much closer. We need more schools to open to accommodate the growing population so that the people in Area 57 can attend schools close to home and people who live much father will not have to spend 2 hours on buses as well
