Education is the key of success, they should consider 1000 times before making such decision which is going to affect a lot on students and their families. Again, education is NOT about just a language… it’s about knowledge for the life. Quebec has lost lot of businesses in the past due to such stupid decisions, apparently now they want to lose good education as well!

This situation is ridiculous. P.E.T.E.S. is losing more and more things every single day , and now they will be taking away good kids whose parents have chosen this school for them. Putting everything else aside , has anyone considered the impact that this will have on all of the children who attend P.E.T.E.S. ? All of these kids ( those staying and those leaving ) now lose all of their friends and comfort . What kind of emotional impact will that have ? Something absolutely needs to be done to prevent this ridiculous thing from happening .

Asking kids and parents to commute to Hudson for transportation and schooling is ridiculous. Demonstrates the lack of foresight and good sense from bureaucrats.

Not sure what the solution is, but mount pleasant is more like 13km from area 57 unless you take the highway which is a detour km wises. Pete's services have decreased because of over crowding, no computer labs, less gym time, every class room fights for access to about anything out if classrooms. There is definitely a lack of English schools in Vaudreuil vs French schools, but having kids in a over crowded schools, in trailors, no computer labs, less resources is not something that can continue either.

These proposed changes make it nearly impossible for working parents to drop off and pick up their children at a school so far the other way. I am concerned as someone who lives in a new area of Vaudreuil and is planning to start having kids in the next few years.

I find that this issue has been known for many years and was in cummerbund on the school board to open new schools to accommodate the overflow of students especially in the west.
I am a proud graduate and father of a future graduate of the school board but am disappointed with this current policy.
It is not reasonable to force families to have to ship their children of to Hudson for schooling, especially for those who would need to use the daycare services.

This is outrageous and doesn't make any sense. You expect parents to drive 18KM in the morning traffic? What if some parents only share a vehicle and can't make transportation arrangements not to mention work, and getting to the West before 6 PM.

I was born and raised in Montreal.. Going to English schools with French immersion classes and now living in Texas for the last 18 yrs ... I feel the discrimination against English has put Quebec behind economically and socially . In this day and time the French need to be more logical and look at the bigger picture. This is not fair for the kids and their families.

I support these statements entirely and hope that the school board can please revise their decision in the interest of our children and the members of this community. I am deeply disappointed that the Mayor of Vaudreuil did not have land for a new LBPSB school and one week later gave land to the French school board for a new school and since then has built a second school behind Cite des Jeunes high school. Someone needs to review the legality of this choice made by the Mayor of Vaudreuil. Thank you.

Our English school will sadly be a thing of the past. Susan Stein Day you should start thinking of the children's education first and foremost. Did we make a mistake voting you in?
