Bravo Ross, for summing up something is not entirely true yet based on emotions. That may be so on some Governing Boards, but not all. Throwing them all in the same category is not fair to those who have worked hard at trying to make improvements in their school systems. Unless one attends these meetings, one does not know what happens unless they hear it through the grape vine. Also with all MSC, it is the right of every single parent to submit a brief if they chose to. Glenn did you submit one or are you assuming that no parents were consulted on the briefs submitted. Little insider info. . .before any brief was submitted by any school, a special MSC committee should have been formed and it is according to those recommendations that the briefs were submitted. Understand that these said MSC committees are formed with non-Governing Board members from all zones that can be affected. This MSC is like all others done in the past, it is all about the numbers and keeping the numbers balanced no matter who or what is at stake. Instead of dividing the population, we should all stand up for our rights not argue about who is to blame. I get it, it is easier to blame others than to take ownership of what you could have done and maybe didn't.

Doesn't make sense

In my experience most Governing Boards are manipulated to vote to whatever the School Administratiors and Boards have already decided upon. The Boards have consistently failed in planning for the migration of a culture that has been, and continues to be pushed toward the borders of other Provinces.

Was looking forward to raise a family around PET school, one of the top concerns I have now that I'm looking for a home was education for my children. Not sure if I will be moving to the Vaudreuil-Dorion anymore

I live in area 61 (Rigaud) and we are also being relocated. The new school is now a split school so that when my youngest goes there, my two girls will be split, the hours are completely screwed up for us, and I worry for my daughter since she is progressing quite well. I am really upset with this new imposition and furoius that there has been little to no interaction with the people that these changes affect - us the parents. Shame LBPSB!

Rediculous. Kids being sent so far when there is a school right near them. & others being sent away for their last year from a school they've been attending since kindergarten!! :(

Once again this is a perfect example of how our Provincial goverment meddles in matters that does not concern them but yet do so in the name of ''fear of losing the French language and culture'' in this eroding province. It is easy to pass and impose such decisions when one is not personally affected by them. And what about the role of the Parents Committee? Why have they not fought for the ensemble of the majority of our children? It has come to my attention that the Parents Committee is the body that actually suggested this option and then voted on it. Obviously the proposal was accepted. One needs only look at those parents that made the original proposal and see where they live. One will realize that this corrupted committee does not sit for the better of the ensemble but rather to suit and accommodate their own needs. It's ironic .... they are doing exactly the same thing the Provincial government has been doing for decades against anglophones in the name of ''language protection'' except they are driven by their own greed and personal interests. SHAME to you concerned parents and may Karma come right back and bite you in your greed. As for my children, I will not only leave this community, I will leave this corrupted province before declining to this absurd IMPOSITION against all my legal CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS !!!!! We shall keep fighting and throw down, at the very least, this corrupted Parents Committee......YOU WILL NO LONGER HAVE A SEAT TO SIT ON !!!!!!!! Power to our childrens' rights.

Please think it over your zoning don't make any sense

Signing this petition as a RIGAUD resident whose family will also be deeply impacted by the off-island reform...yet again!. This is the SECOND time my children are being rezoned...first in 2011 from FH to MP...and now from MP back to FH!! Please stop uprooting my family and others like us in Rigaud! Obviously the MSC Committee were unsuccessful in following their own guiding principals identified in the report....primarily that of being sensitive to historical change and achieving long-term stability for communities :(
