The school board should reconsider the rezoning proposal in light of the news that the city and mayor would permit the expansion of Pierre Elliot Trudeau Elementary School.

We live only 5 minutes (1 km) from the Pierre Elliot Trudeau Elementary School (PETES). This rezoning will add an extra two hours of travel time (22km) and more stress to our child’s day and to our daily lives.
The City of Vaudreuil is sympathetic and supportive of our needs to keep our children in our city. We were told that the city is waiting for the School Board to send in the request to renew lease for the portable classrooms. They have also mentioned that permanent structures can be built to permanently replace the portables and land behind the school can be used to further expand PETES. Please revisit these alternatives solutions.

Please keep the existing students in the school .....why can't they donate a decent land to LBPS in Vaudreuil so they can build a new English school....

I am rezoned.
It is confirmed that both my daughter will go to the french school. The schools i an offered with the new zoning have very llw french level a bad reputation and one of the schools sends kids to a public park at recess. The school confirmed to me on the phone that strangers still have access to the park.
I will not be able to juggle dropping off and picking up. I need a school bus in the morning. I work full time. When a bus comes by at 8.30 it lows my mind.....

Sad and scary that this basic right to education in our CHOICE of preferred language is basically being made impossible And on purpose. I hope this story go goes National. Ridiculousness such as this is why we loose talented and skilled taxpayers to other provinces.

I believe parents should have the right to educate their children in their preferred language and the district where they work.

I went to LBPS school board for grade school and high school housing was more affordable off island and my children should not be penalized for that. I should have the right to choose my childs schooling.

I built a house to be close to PETES when my kids were getting ready to move into kindergarten. I live 2.3km away or a 3mins drive. My kids spend five mins on a bus vs now going to school in Hudson. This commutes adds hours to their day and negatively affects my wife and I's situation to try to pick our kids up before the daycare closes.

If already enrolled at the school, children should be permitted to finish in this school. All new enrollments should be transferred to the new zones.

They have many prefab schools that they build... I remember years back my son going to a prefab french school to make accommodation for the extra students they had.. Why not for these children..
