Temporary signs have been erected displaying "Lawson Community Hospital". Golspie Heritage Society has been requested to oppose this change and retain the original name - Lawson Memorial Hospital. On the NHS Highland web site it states: ... "it might be prudent to “re-visit” the signage and naming as an agenda item in February". The February meeting is scheduled for February 6, 2013. Also on the NHS Highland web site ... "local representatives will seek further views and NHS Highland staff will continue to meet with local groups and community councils to raise awareness of the ongoing improvements to facilities and take advice about the need for any name change or stay with the status quo". We would like your support to retain the original name of the hospital - Lawson Memorial Hospital. Thanks.
