Laurie Nichols is an icon of Australian rugby league not as a player but as a fan. He will always be remembered for wearing his Tigers singlet in all types of conditions and he loved the game. The purpose of this petition is to get him recognized by the NRL with an award on Daly M night named Laurie Nichols Pride Of The League. I was on the same train with Laurie to the Blue Mountains once. I am a massive die hard Tigers fan! Always have been but multiply that by a million for Laurie!!!!
Even as a Roosters supporter I loved watching Laurie on the sideline. Unbelievable passion wearing a singlet in winter and shadow boxing hyping up crowd and players. Fully deserved.
I remember him visiting Wigan as Kangaroos supporter way back brilliant idea to honour supporters and Laurie
Recognise an icon and recognise the fans. Award criteria should have some substance to it, not just awarded to a person because they turned up every round dressed as a chook or a tiger
Laurie is my uncle I will be forwarding this onto all of my family great work and so happy his name will live on through rugby league
Laurie was one special supporter, let's hope this eventuates.

Fitting recognition to a man that passion and pride for the sport and team he loved that will remain unrivaled. I spent an hour explaining this man to my children and the words were just not enough
