PETITION

To whom it may concern,

I, the undersigned request Major League Baseball to honor these (6) gentlemen or their families (if deceased) below, as part of the 100 Years of Negro League Baseball Celebration in 2020, to recognize their achievements on the baseball field and toil in their perspective Minor League Organizations, for years in some cases, without ever setting one foot in the Major Leagues inhibited by the color of their skin long past the time when Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier due to the ongoing prejudices.

I request that these men receive an “honorary (1) minute Major League Baseball Contract” to celebrate baseball's accomplishments in erasing prejudice throughout the 40's, 50's and 60's and be represented in the Major League Baseball uniforms of the organizations they aspired in.

I also request that Major League Baseball capture this occasion for posterity and allow for the honorees and (1) family member or (2) family members (if deceased), with compensation for their expenses to attend the ceremony.
