Lansdowne Residents in opposition to Resort Adventure Project

We are adamantly opposed to the Lansdowne Resort ropes course or adventure course or any other project along the golf courses or adjacent to any Lansdowne homeowner or H0A conservancy area. This will absolutely negatively impact homeowner property values and be unsightly for residence and golf club members. This will absolutely take away from the golf experience for members. There are enough golf members and social members already resigning/leaving the course because of numerous other negative reasons and this will only continue to cause golf and social membership to hemorrhage.

Please forward your complaints and opposition to the resort, the golf course membership, the hoa and the conservancy board.

At the conservancy meeting, the resort and their partner in this venture stated there would be no noise impact to the golf operations or home owners even with groups of 50 people or more. They did not provide any response to the environmental concerns raised. They were not aware the flood plain maps have been recently revised since they began planning this course 2 years ago. They don't seem serious about addressing our concerns.

This will cause congestion issues in the neighborhood. The area can not be adequately secured during non business hours posing significant risk to children.

As a Lansdowne resident, I am very opposed to this.

I oppose in this location. This project would cause excessive traffic in a private neighborhood and the location adjacent to the golf course seems unsafe for all. The lack of communication around this project is a concern.

as a Lansdowne homeowner, due to the lack of information and detail surrounding the project, I must oppose it. We need to understand this in much greater detail as there are a lot of potential impacts...

I am opposed to this proposal by the Lansdowne Resort and urge the Conservancy to take the appropriate time to hear the residents viewpoint.

I live in Lansdowne and i have seen NO public information provided by the Resort in relation to this project. We urge the conservancy to delay any decision making until appropriate public 2-way communications are completed.

This project needs additional transparency and more time and consideration. I urge the Conservancy to table any decision they might be considering until all constituent parties have been given a chance to study the proposal in greater detail. Potential impacts to neighborhood traffic, leveraging public land (parking lot) for commercial purposes, personal security of the intended course during off-hours...these are but a few of the issues.

Public traffic should not come through a residential community. There children and families who would not be vulnerable to unidentifiable and "unfriendly" vehicles. Due to the fact that LCPS has our children walking to Belmont Ridge Middle School and Riverside High Schools, we do not need to have "unknown" vehicles coming down Squirrel Ridge when our kids leaving in the morning and returning home from school. This is a rural residential community and is not made to be a "high traffic" area regardless to the "income" it would bring Lansdowne Resort. I do believe Lansdowne Resort can use their already constructed access to accommodate any new ventures they plan on creating without having to disrupt the community families paid a considerable amount of money to enjoy safely with their families.
