I'd love to see Coy's name in the HOF. Coy was such a wonderful man, he was my softball coach many years ago and he was always so sweet and he was actually willing to do anything when it came down to him helping someone else that wasn't able to find any help elsewhere. Coy's wife deserves to have her husbands name in the HOF just knowing how great of a plater he truly was. Coy had a dream and he ran with everything in him, he lived the life other people would be jealou of. Coy's family is asking to have their (Husband, Papa, Brother, Uncle, etc.) recognized and because of that this petition by far has my vote 3736363x if I was able to. Good luck :)

Coy Bacon definitely deserves to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. The stats do not truly reflect how great of a player he was, because the NFL didn't officially record Sacks as a separate statistic until 1982. Contributing to the legacy of the NFL wasn't his only societal contribution. Coy was charismatic and had an infectious personality and smile. He devoted the later years of his life to giving motivational speeches to youth about the dangers of drugs while spreading the word of God. He sponsored many charities and even ran a club for kids called the "Bicycle Drug Free Club".

The entire voting process needs to be changed. The members of PFHOF should select their own inductees. The sports writers are biased and they need to be removed from the process.

Men like Coy is what the hall should be about, one Great player that was as big as a mountain but had a heart to match!
